POLLIN X MODERN MIRACLE FOUNDATION IVF GRANT FUND IN THE NEWS

Pollin Fertility Clinic partners with The Modern Miracle Foundation to provide equitable IVF access to more Ontarians

Pollin X Modern Miracle IVF Grant Fund

Pollin Fertility and The Modern Miracle Foundation have announced an initiative designed to increase access to fertility care for those with financial barriers.  A first-of-its-kind in Ontario, the Pollin x Modern Miracle IVF Grant Fund will help offset the cost of IVF fertility treatment, totalling to more than $225,000 in patient grants per year.

“We believe that everyone who wants to build their family should have access to care,” said Dr. Kim Garbedian, Co-Founder and Medical Director of Pollin Fertility, Toronto’s new fertility clinic. “One of the driving forces behind Pollin is to ensure all patients have access to the best possible treatments and the IVF Grant will do just that.”

How Financial Fertility Grants could help more Canadians overcome barriers to fertility care - CBC

One in six Canadian couples experiences infertility.  A study published by advocacy group, Conceivable Dreams, found 34 per cent spend more than $30,000 on treatment alone and may have to do multiple rounds before pregnancy is confirmed.

According to Dr. Garbedian, “the accessibility of fertility treatments compounds the existing physical and mental strain on patients”.

"There's a huge gap between what funding covers and what patients have to pay out of pocket, so sometimes it means patients don't continue on their fertility journey for financial reasons.

"In an effort to make IVF treatments more accessible for Ontarians, Pollin and The Modern Miracle Foundation have teamed up to provide up to 50 IVF grants of $4500 each per year to Pollin patients who qualify.
