Where do patients local to Sudbury go for appointments?

Patients local to Sudbury are able to complete all their specialist consultations and follow-up consultations virtually or in-person at Pollin Toronto.  Most *diagnostic testing and all cycle monitoring—blood work and ultrasounds—are completed locally at Neo Women’s Health Network at 1596 Regent St. or another local lab if required.

When is travel to Pollin Toronto required?

Patients local to Sudbury are required to travel to Toronto for diagnostic testing, egg retrieval, embryo transfer and cryopreservation/storage procedures with fully coordinated support.

Is funded IVF available for Sudbury patients?

Yes. Eligible Ontario patients can access funded IVF through Pollin Toronto, with local monitoring in Sudbury and testing and procedures coordinated through Pollin Toronto.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, you do need a referral to see a fertility specialist in Ontario, however Pollin can facilitate one for you through an OHIP-covered, virtual appointment with our partner GP if you do not have your own GP.  

You can book an initial consultation directly through our website without a referral and a member of our care team will contact you before your appointment date to get you set up with one.

Will my care and plan management be split between clinics?

No, your Pollin Toronto care team manages every step of your plan and coordinates local appointments and Toronto procedures so everything stays connected.

Is there a treatment cost difference for Sudbury patients?

No — your fees and care plan are the same, whether you’re monitored locally, or in Toronto.
