Using Donor Sperm

The use of donor sperm is an option for individuals who either do not have sperm or are unable to have a child using their own. Sperm can be obtained from a known donor or through a donor sperm bank. Donor sperm can be used in either intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles.

Using Donor Eggs

The use of donor eggs is an option for individuals who either do not have eggs or are unable to have a child using their own. Eggs can be obtained from a known donor or through a donor egg bank. Donor eggs can be fertilized with the sperm of the intended parent or a sperm donor to become embryos within our IVF laboratory.

Using a Gestational Surrogate

The use of a gestational surrogate is an option for individuals who do not have a uterus or are unable to have a child using their own uterus. An embryo, which is made up of the sperm or egg of the intended parent, donor sperm or donor egg, or a combination of the two, is placed in the uterus of the gestational surrogate who then carries the pregnancy to delivery.

Surrogates can either be someone you know, such as a family member or friend, or found and selected through a specialized and reputable agency. In either case, your surrogate will undergo all the necessary diagnostic tests and counselling at Pollin to determine their candidacy before a personalized embryo transfer plan is created.
