Sonohysterogram (SHG) under Sedation

Your physician has ordered the sonohysterogram under sedation for you. This means you will be given sedation prior to the SHG procedure for comfort. 

This is not covered by OHIP and will be $300. You will need to pay for this via your Pollin App. 

Preparation:

1. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the procedure.
2. Do not eat or drink 2 hours prior. 
3. Arrive with a FULL BLADDER. If possible, do not urinate until the procedure.
4. You will need a support person to drive you home, as this will be done under sedation. 
5. Antibiotics - you will need to take your dose on the morning of your sono appt. Please ensure you take it with food.
